Bornite is an opaque mineral with a metallic luster, and its streak is gray-black. The surface of fresh mining is reddish-brown, but it quickly darkens and turns purple upon contact with air. Gradually, it develops bright blue and purple streaks, which is caused by the separation of surface components forming copper and iron layers undergoing oxidation. Copper ore typically occurs in hydrothermal veins, copper veins’ oxidation zones, certain igneous rocks, or contact metamorphic zones. It should be noted that it dissolves in nitric acid.

Bornite has a pseudocubic, octahedral, or dodecahedral shape and belongs to the tetragonal/cubic crystal system. It has stable energy characteristics and can replenish and strengthen energy, purify and balance chakra centers, assist in opening the third eye, enhance intuition, and help transform negative thinking into positive thought patterns. Bornite is one of the most potent healing stones. In crystal healing, placing it on one of the chakras can activate the other six chakras simultaneously. Therefore, bornite can correspond to all chakras. Because bornite is mostly blue and purple in color, it is also commonly used for the third eye or crown chakra.

斑銅礦

斑銅礦為不透明且具有金屬光澤的礦物，條痕為灰黑色，其新鮮開採後表面是紅銅色，然而接觸空氣後會很快的變暗變紫，再漸漸的變成帶鮮豔藍色跟紫色斑紋，這是因為表面成分的分離形成銅層與鐵層發生氧化所造成。銅礦石通常生於熱液礦脈、銅礦脈的氧化帶，以及某些火成岩或接觸性變質帶中。保存時需注意會溶於硝酸中。

斑銅礦形狀為假象的立方體、八面體或十二面體，屬於四方/正方晶系，所以具有穩定的能量特質，同時補充能量及強化能量，可淨化並平衡脈輪中心，可協助打開第三眼，增強直覺力並有助於將負面的思考轉換成正面的思考模式。斑銅礦為最強的療癒石之一，在水晶治癒中，只要將斑銅礦放在其中一個脈輪上，同時影響其他六個脈輪，活化其他脈輪。因此，斑銅礦可對應全脈輪，由於斑銅礦顏色以藍色紫色為最多，因此也常用於眉心輪或頂輪。
